Hi everyone! I'm sorry if this had been asked a lot already, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice for dressing during flare ups and staying comfortable with endo belly?
I feel like I'm living in pajamas and nightgowns right now because nothing fits around my tummy. My normal clothes fit fine until I start to bloat and then they press on all my sore areas.
I don't feel like I have anything that is forgiving to a fluctuating belly. It would be nice to be able to wear stylish clothes without feeling pain.
Thank you 😇

hi long term suffer, loose skirts, denim skirts, leggings and dresses are my go to practically anything that doesn't squish your tummy that or maternity clothes such as the jeans as these normally have a cloth top which stretches, carigans, jumpers hopefully this helps and you feel better soon 😊
Hello there, I find dresses are the best bet - midi ones that nip in at the waist are great, as they give you a bit of shape, but cover up the Endo bloat. Also Jeggings might be more comfy than Jeans x
I found a super comfortable pair of harem style bottoms in a charity shop and then realised later that they were maternity wear! Loose dresses and tunics are also great
I generally prefer to a smock style or dolly dresses at the moment to hide my tummy! i’ve also phone I’ve been ordering a bigger size and some clothes which helps with the discomfort but look too big in other areas of my body! I live in leggings! X
I find 1950s-style dresses work well for dressier occasions as they tend to be short bodied so the waistline doesn’t press on my belly but I don’t feel like I’m wearing a tent because the bodice is fitted.
Thank you so much for your responses everyone, there was a lot of them that I didn't even think of. Makes me feel a lot better about shopping. I think I'm going to be treat myself to a couple of new things based on the suggestions. Hope everyone is doing okay 😊
Stretchy leggings are something I live in. When going out and about, I pretty much now only wear Lucy & Yak bottoms because they have a stretchy top that doesn’t dig in
same here- I have a sore swollen tummy after hysterectomy and adhesion /large area scar tissue removal since then- my pelvis is very sore and I can’t have anything pressing against it due to this. As above I wear dresses, leggings etc and a longer top. It’s comfort which counts xx
Maternity trousers/jeans (over-belly) and maternity tights have been a game-changer for me, if you can find ones that fit well with a good amount of give. And of course dresses are good too. Hope that helps. Best of luck.
My surgeon suggested maternity clothes for this reason. Especially the pants, shorts , skirts dresses etc. They said I could try looser fitting tops. With the bloat, an endo sufferer could appear pregnant and I didn't want that. Basically all my clothes have hidden elastic. Because I never know when a flare up will happen, and I'm at the point now, that comfort is the most important thing to me.
I bloat a lot! My go to has been flared leggings (they look stylish and like normal trousers but with an elasticated waist) I normally wear them or leggings and try to dress up with jewellery or nice jumpers/tops that are not tight fitting. Also I don't know if you have a primark where you are but amazing supportive comfy sport Bras I've found them a life saver. Hope you find some stuff you feel comfy and confident in 💗
