I need some help if anyone can kindly help me out here.
At the time I was 40, when I got called to have one of those NHS health checks, had a blood test the results came back I had high cholesterol and prediabetes, so the GP referred me to a cholesterol specialist, got put on atorvastatin.
Also I got diagnosed last November with endometriosis 8cm cyst which reputed and another cyst was diagnosed near my rectovaginal. I don't know what stage of endo i have could be stage 3 or 4, need to chase up hospital to get an answer.
Due to my age being in my mids 40s so due to having high cholesterol and other health issues we decided to go the adoption route, unfortunately we are not getting very far.
I have done research that you need to come off the statins at least two months before trying.
So my question is anyone on statins come off them to try for a baby and how did you manage your cholesterol? Also anyone manage to get pregrant with endo stage 3 and 4 and anyone managed to get pregnant at 44 yrs old.
Thanks everyone and sorry for going on.

hi, I got pregnant last year with my second at 33 with stage 4 endo, it did take a long time, i had my first born 14 years beforehand, with one miscarriage in 2014, I was being told to consider ivf for the past few years, I was saving for that when I found out i was pregnant naturally!
Can’t offer any advice on pregnancy but just wanted to say stick with the adoption route. I had several failed ivf rounds, multiple miscarriages and began to lose hope of ever having a baby. We then adopted and have our little one is just amazing, so worth the wait. I have since been diagnosed with endometriosis and wouldn’t change a thing.
I'm so sorry to hear what you went through, I can't imagine thecpain you webt through.
As you've adopted can you please give me some adivce, I started the adoption process last year June 2021. While going through the adoption process stage 1, I ended up in hospital in September then had my surgery in November 2021 foundvout i had endometriosis.
We started the process again in February of this year to complete stage 1 as we where half way when I got ill. We where suppose to be completing stage 1 by April this year ir May. It seems that we are still in satge 1 and have very lack of communication from our social worker.
We are nearly end of year, the last communication from our social worker was back in July 2022, we keep chasing her up and we get nothing.
Sorry for rumbling on, what I wanted to ask you does it take this long to complete stage 1 for some couples or may need to make a complaint to the team manger, as we seem not be moving forward on to stage 2 either way we need to know what is going on.
Any adivce will be so appreciated. At this point feel giving up, due to be 44 yrs probably not worth trying due my endometriosis, high cholesterol and prediabetes.
I just feel empty and lost just the heartache 💔 of wanting to be a mum. So sorry just needed to get out.
