Hi, after a year or so wait and various appointments I’ve got my laparoscopy in a few weeks but I feel like a medical professional has not actually listened to all my symptoms and helped me understand what’s going on. I honestly think this has made my symptoms worse due to stress.

When I first / last met with the consultant to get the ball rolling with the procedure I had been vigorously tracking my symptoms for months but she didnt want to know. I said “I’ve got loads of data” because I’d been using the Flo app which is really great and helps you see what days of the month the symptoms are. All she said was “you’re not a computer” and said to just do the procedure if that’s what I want. Which I do to get some closure or whatever will come from it.

Nobody has listened to all of my symptoms, most months I debate calling 111 or going to a&e because nothing helps the pain but I don’t because of the procedure coming up.

It’s so frustrating and isolating not understanding what’s going on. Reading some posts on here I see some similar symptoms but that also makes me worry more.

One thing for example is last year when I would lift a wheel barrow to tip out grass or whatever, I would feel a discomfort and almost a lack of control in my pelvic area. I’m worried this could be the sign of prolapse.

The last time I talked to the GP about my mood and whether I could have PMDD she just said that I’m already referred to gyno so I can speak to them.

It’s a long ramble I’m afraid, if anyone has any advice that you think might be useful I’d love to hear it.

Thanks
