I’m under an endo specialist and down for surgery through them. I was told the list was 12-18 months in December though so I reckon it’s still 12 months away ish. I’m on prostap while I wait. I’m waiting to hear from the bowel surgeon to tell me if I need surgery on my bowel during the surgery.
I’ve now received a routine app with my local gynae. I’m presuming that as my endo is being treated by the specialist centre that that’s all it is. I’ve booked an appointment anyway as it’s there.
The thing is, I’m not sure what to say at this appointment. As I’m being treated elsewhere I can’t imagine them doing anything at all. Is it even worth me having this appointment? I have regular pain, constipation, feel sick when in pain quite a lot. I was going to mention the sickness to see if they will prescribe any anti sickness. My endo is on my bowel and ovary. My main symptoms are bowel based. Took me ages to persuade them to prescribe Laxido. I think some of my recent pain has been from the Laxido so have had to not take it as often which has helped with the pain and bloating but has the knock on effect of causing me constipation and the pain of that is much worse. I can’t tell them that I think the Laxido has caused issues as they will stop me having it which long term is much worse. It was such a battle to be prescribed something for the constipation long term anyway. I was only taking half a sachet a night but the bloating/wind/abdo pain was ridiculous.
Anyway, I’m rambling now. Just not sure what local gynae can do when I’m under a specialist.
