Hi everyone, i am val and i am 46 and i have a very painful endometriosis. I've been fine all day, til i went to my local shop and i felt the very familiar stabbing hot pain in my right groin (it's usually on the left side the most). I feel so alone with it, i don't think people in my family much care about what i suffer with. I am just thankfull for the strong painkillers i am on. Bye for now

Hi Val I feel your pain. I have Adeno and Edno and grateful for painkillers. I think others don’t understand what our daily life is like and how our lives have changed because of these illnesses 🥲

hi allthatglitters, now that my mum is no longer alive, i feel even more alone with my pain. I take a british tablet called co-codamol, and it has 30mg of codeine in it, so it is one of the bestest to use for me. I had a real fine day today, then it just hit me. So, thank you for replying, i don't feel so alone now

I’m so sorry your mum is no longer here, that must be so tough & sending you a hug. I take tramadol when pain is really bad, naproxen when it initially starts. A tens machine is quite good, I was diagnosed aged 36 x

Hi Val, I am 47 and had Stage 4 Endometriosis (Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis), Adenomyosis and fibroids. Before my operation I had the same symptoms as you which were increasingly getting worse and taking codeine which was barely helping with the pain. It was an awful time in my life and working whilst enduring this was tough physically and mentally.

What has your gynaecologist suggested doing? Have you had any surgery for it?

Hi Endo Warrior, thank you for replying. I've only ever had a hysteroscopy and laproposcopy by a gynecology consultant at my local hospital. A few weeks went by, and i went back for the results and he confirmed it was endometriosis. He didn't say what level it was, and gave no follow up with it, and just basically said to keep taking the codeine (which if i'm honest, it barely covers the pain), and left me to it. Thankfully i have had a respite for a day or two. I have had the menapausal injections in 2013 i think it was. And i thought that would end it, but clearly it hasn't. I don't know what to do. Whether to plod on with it, just don't know what to do with it. It just got to me i think
