We will be holding a webinar discussing Endometriosis and Adenomyosis, which will also include information on hysteroscopies . This will be led by Ilyas Arshad, Consultant Gynaecologist, Denise Carter, Endometriosis Specialist Nurse and Karen Loy, Nurse Hysteroscopist.
They will be sharing their knowledge and expertise on these areas but we want to know the topics/issues/ information/practical tips that would be helpful for these endometriosis specialists to cover.

When will womens health be taken seriously? Endo symptoms are still being ignored and scans don’t always show endo. Laps by general gynaecologists show nothing but specialist gynaecologist go on to find endo. What is being done within the medical profession to take endo seriously and support patients who are still being dismissed especially those post menopause? Menopause isn’t a magic cure for endo.
If approx 1 in 10 women have endometriosis why aren't GPS better educated to spot the signs sooner. Why do so many just call it IBS or normal period pain? Too many women are going far to long before getting any help or recognition and this needs to change.
When laparoscopic surgery is used for diagnosis are all potentially affected areas routinely checked, ie not just ovaries, uterus etc, but bowels and bladder area too?
Info on treatments aside from surgery e.g. Hormone injections and potential side affects. Ways to manage endo that may not often be talked about aside from surgery, diet and exercise. Thanks
hi, think l may be asking the wrong questions, l am 76 with a 5 inch ovarian cyst, no one has mentioned endo on my hospital visits so far, have just been bumped for the third time due to health issues and now booked in for September 12th for removal of cyst, both ovaries and both fallopian tubes by lap surgery, does this sound like over kill or are they being just careful that l do not experience this again, thank you for your help and advice
