Hi Bab567
Lovely to hear from you. Fertility can feel really overwhelming to those of us living with endo. Endometriosis UK has a brilliant page on their website with useful information about Endometriosis, Fertility and Pregnancy. I think that your questions will be answered there. Links to other organisations and resources are also provided. I'd really recommend reading it, the link is here: endometriosis-uk.org/endome...
If you would ever appreciate support or would like to speak to someone about this, Endometriosis UK also have a helpline run by volunteers who are endo warriors too. Check out the rota here: endometriosis-uk.org/helpline
Thanks for posting these questions. I'm sure that they're really relevant to many people in our community.
Take care,
Claudia
I’ve got 2 gorgeous girls which I had after my endometriosis was diagnosed and treated . My nearly 3 year old daughter Francesca followed after my 3rd surgery chemical pregnancy and 7 year struggle due to a delayed diagnosis of my endometriosis which affected my fertility until it was treated properly. We had our 3 month old Eliza followed after a loss of our daughter Amelia who died at 20 weeks pregnant in November 2020 and 2 other early losses. I also have a grown up son from a previous relationship. For us endometriosis was the only issue. I only needed it removed from my uterus ligaments no other medical intervention was needed. The most frustrating thing for us was the delay in the diagnosis which took 5 years and 10 months of TTC and 3 years of unexplained issues with my cycles to eventually diagnosis. I’m not sure how my first fertility dr missed it ( said I was paranoid about my cycles and too stressed🙄) 2 other general gynaes failed to connect my symptoms to endometriosis ( I hope more awareness helps other ladies not suffer for years and years like I did) I will also add I was 40 having Eliza! All my children naturally conceived. And with crap AMH. It is possible to have children with endometriosis. Good luck Xx
