Hello to you. I was at your stage of curiosity once before and hope that I can help.

I had found out my left Fallopian Tube was blocked and my right Fallopian tube was stuck to my pelvic wall (pelvic adhesions) that’s a common thing with endometriosis.

They can do a Dye Test to see if anything will be able to pass through your tubes. Unfortunately in my case NOTHING was getting through my tubes and it was causing me so much pain. I was able to have a salpingectomy (tube removal) in hopes of helping my fertility later.

I don’t have my tubes but I do have my ovaries and uterus. My doctor said that if I wanted my IVF chances to improve that it would be best to get my tubes out being that they weren’t functioning anyways.

I have heard of some women getting pregnant with endometriosis I’m sure it depends on how severe.

If your other tube is ok that is a AWESOME that means hopefully you can get pregnant through that one tube that isn’t blocked or causing you trouble. Sounds like there is still some hope there for you! I wish you the best and baby dust for your future.

Hi. I also have endometriosis and am trying to conceive. So far it’s been two years TTC and one year since my laparoscopy. My husband and I had finally been referred to two top private doctors just before this covid nightmare kicked off and halted everything, and they both separately remarked that endometriosis can cause an hostile environment for conception because of the inflammation and thus active white blood cells in the area. They say it is still possible for me to conceive naturally however to facilitate conception the best bet is to have fertilisation take place outside the body (aka ivf). Of course everyone is different, particularly when it comes to this ridiculously wide-ranging and varying condition Endo and many women conceive no problem, others with a little help and some with a lot of help. I hope it happens for you & without too much worry. I would work on reducing inflammation within your diet and also through supplements while you wait for your surgery to help calm endo activity, and don’t forget to take a pre-natal vitamin if you are thinking of trying in the meantime. P.S. A girl I knew had an eptopic pregnancy so was left with only one tube. She went on to have a pair of non-identical twins a few years later, and then another child after that; evidence that only having one functioning tube should hopefully not be an issue! Much luck with everything.

Hi I managed to conceive naturally after 2.5 yrs- this was after a failed ivf cycle aswell. Endo doesn’t make it impossible it just makes it harder... ivf isn’t always the answer but can work for some too.

Hiya!

I conceived with endo after trying for 1.5 years. Had a lap in 2015, then got started on a 16 month endo consultant referral process/waitlist in 2018 when I knew we were ready to ttc. Had a lap in summer 2019 to clear adhesions and endo, conceived 6 months later. Note: I do yoga, watch my endo diet, did a course of repro-flexology, took vitex to naturally increase my progesterone, and probably most importantly, changed to a less stressful job two months before we successfully conceived.

Bottom line: yes, you can still conceive naturally with endo; stress control is key.

I’m now 24 weeks in and have had an easy, uneventful pregnancy so far - no sickness whatsoever. 🤞 It’s also been so nice that I haven’t experienced any endo pain while pregnant- I definitely could get used to this. We’ll see what happens with the endo after birth.

PS: read Laura Briden’s book The Period Repair Manual , and also a Wendy Laidlaw’s Heal Endometriosis Naturally. If you think you’d like to ttc in the next 2-3 years... it’ll take anywhere from 3-18 months for your body to adjust after stopping any hormone tablets/injections. The Period Repair Manual explains this...

Hi Both of my tubes were blocked after the dye test on my last operation in 2018 and I was told the severity of my endo would mean that it wouldn't be possible for me to get pregnant. Also IVF would be difficult for me aswell so I was devastated but started doing things going on holidays etc and low and behold. My body decided to get pregnant 36 weeks now 😊 my consultant is over the moon and has followed my progress care fully, good luck it's amazing what the body can do xxxxx

Hi, I got diagnosed with endo on March 11 last year, Stage 1,had ablasion surgery. And fell pregnant on the 28th of March last year. I had the dye test which shows tubes were fine (I suspected only one to be working as I already have a daughter from before diagnosis) but my endo would of been there when I was trying for my 1st. 18 months it took for me to conceive my first daughter. I was 17 and a half at the time (I know I was young) that was one of the biggest reasons the docs sent me to the gyno, as being 17 I should of been able to get pregnant a lot quicker than 18 months. It will happen. Its always about timing, as cynical as it sounds... Its very true... Good luck!! Don't give up (I'm 4 months post partrum and wondering if my endo is back again) also took me 15 months from deciding to try for the 2nd to conceiving her and I had the endo surgery in that time x

Hi,

I have recently had one fallopian tube due to endo out but the other one is fine. My gyno said it should actually give me more chance now as the unhealthy one has gone so that's hopeful 😀 x

Hello to you,

I have suffered with endometriosis for a very long time and this time last year I was told I was at stage 3 and it would be impossible to conceive and my only option to stop the pain and growth was to take a pill that would force my body to go through the menapause.

And now a year later I have a beautiful little girl so nothing is impossible, I had operations, scans, my tubes unblocked and nothing happened for years and soon as I gave up hope the impossible happened.

I know everyone’s story is different but I was told I would never have children due to the damage that had been caused.

I wish you all the best, you’ve just got to have a little hope xx

Hey! I'm 39 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with endometriosis 3 years ago. I caught it at an early stage and had a laparoscopy. I was on the evra patch for about 1 and a half years and came off it to conceive. It surprisingly took my body about 3/4 months to regulate a cycle and It took me about 6 months to conceive (it was literally like clockwork and did everything I could) In between the time of having the laparoscopy and conceiving, I changed my lifestyle completely. I cut out the obvious carbs and dairy where I could and was pretty much a vegetarian. I ate a lot of seeds and nuts. My breakfast was a smoothie everyday (see my page for the ingredients, of it's not there I will send it here) I was very strict. I stuck to walking an hour everyday also. I then purchased the evra watch to try and monitor my ovulation however I was pregnant by then! You can purchase ovulation sticks off amazon. The ones I got were the same as what the nhs use they were about 10 quid for a pack (again if you like I can post the link if you're interested).

My advice to anyone trying to conceive is stay strong and patient. Miracles DO happen. I found that the more I was stressed and getting wound up at the fact that it wasn't happening, delayed my progress. You're womb is clever and it will know when you're stressed. Stay calm. Relax and try to enjoy the process. It only happened for me when I stopped caring so much and just had fun with it.

If you need any other tips and advise just let me know!!!! GOOD LUCK! xxxx

I have endo and 2 kids. The first pregnancy happened pretty quickly as I had been on the pill for a long time and my endo was supressed by that I believe. The second took 18 months to conceive. Dont give up!
