Have my very first laparoscopy this Thursday… why am I feeling so on edge about it?
I’m still in shock that the hospital called last Wednesday to tell me…. It was only 6 weeks ago I finally got to see a gynaecologist and was told then she’s sending me
For a MRI and laparoscopy… still waiting on a date for Mri scan but not bothered about that one!
Just don’t feel mentally prepared! 🤦♀️

I'm the same! Got mine on Friday and only seen the gynae 7 weeks ago. Looked online at my trusts waiting times for diagnostic lap and said 18 months so you can imagine the shock when they called!!
Heyy! It’s pretty normal to feel that way - I had my first laparoscopy two weeks ago and was offered the surgery date just over a week prior . I noticed I kept myself a bit too busy in order to keep my mind off it. I had my surgery at a private hospital via the NHS and although it was nice to have my own room, it was quite isolating as no one is allowed in with you. I would recommend taking something to keep you occupied while you wait whether its a book or something to watch on your phone. The waiting around made me more anxious!
You’ve got this chick! I hope everything goes well 💜💛
Hi. Hope you ok. I was really nervous with my first surgery but we happened to be friends with the clinical director of the hospital who came to see me and a comment that has always stuck with me is you have an entire team focused just on you and keeping you safe when you are in surgery, you are monitored every second and that stuck with me for the other surgeries I’ve had since. My other suggestion would be to take your dressing gown ( I didn’t 😀😀) and something to read/ colour and for me I should have taken apple juice as they only had orange which upsets my endo and peppermint tea as it’s good for setting things afterwards. Good luck and give yourself time to recover afterwards. Xx
Hi u had my lap too been two weeks feel okay but hospital didn’t tell me outcome just told to come back after a month ??? Did this happen to anyone else I don’t know what happend during the lap was to diagnose endo as I have all the symptoms
