Hello I have been on rigevidon since August last year. Have had serious mental health issues since being on it but it has helped my endometriosis by having a fake period every 3 months. I am not sure if I come off of it what will happen? I also have endometriosis in the region of pouch of douglous and was wondering if anyone has tried any medication or physical therapy or exercise that has helped with this type of endometriosis?

Question
Hi chalky96,
I’m sorry to hear about how you’ve been suffering from endometriosis and its treatments– it sounds like you’ve had a really difficult time.
Rigevidon is a combined contraceptive and as the Pill has side effects, women normally have to experiment with different brands until they find one that suits them. I would advise discussing with your doctor to see if they can prescribe a different brand for you to try as it can take a bit of trial and error to get a pill that suits you well with reduced side effects.
There is a pelvic exercise programme which may be of interest to you, you can find that here: endometriosis-uk.org/covid-...
If you need someone to talk to, we do have a network of support services that are available to anybody affected by endometriosis. Our free helpline (0808 808 2227 )is run by volunteers who have personal experience of endometriosis. The helpline is open most days – the times it is open can be found here: endometriosis-uk.org/suppor...
You may also find our support groups useful as a place where you can discuss endometriosis and the issues you are facing with other sufferers.
Please visit: endometriosis-uk.org/suppor... to find out if there is one in your local area. If you find there is not a face to face support group in your local area, we have an online support group.
