Hey guys, don’t really know what to do.

Spoke to my doctors the other day and they prescribed me with Naproxen to help with the pain but have taken it before and doesn’t do anything.

The tearing pain I am having is now becoming worse, I can’t even lay down without it hurting whereas that was my most comfortable position.

The pain is so bad that I don’t know what to do. Doctors won’t listen to me, nobody will listen to me because “it’s all in my head” 🤦‍♀️

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Really sorry to hear this. I’m presuming your pain is secondary to Endo? Have you been referred to a specialist pain clinic and / or specialist Endo centre (check the BSGE website for list). GPs are limited in what they can do. There’s NICE guidelines for primary chronic pain which might give you ideas - as well as the old guidelines for Endo (that definitely need updating). I’ve found a private specialist pelvic Physio helpful - maybe also worth considering (technically there should be some service for this on NHS but I’m still waiting). Currently just started trying post-tibial nerve electro-Accupuncture with the physio, which I’d never heard about, but may help with type of pain and pelvic muscle dysfunction I’ve been having. After these sessions I’ll continue at home but with ordinary TENS.

I’ve found non of GP level pain meds work - for me now, for worst pain ( cyclic period pain) - including max dose of codeine- heat and rest in front of the TV was the only thing for any relief. Best wishes.

Hiya, yes it’s for Endo. I haven’t been referred to anything because nobody will refer me. I will look into those though definitely! Thank you for the advice!

Hi NikNak98

Sorry to hear your going through this, I to have been having issues with my doctors not listening and not helping me. I was given pain relief the then told I didn't need it. After pushing and being really annoying (basically calling and leaving messages everyday) I have now got referrals to specialists.

Only you can feel what your feeling, no should be telling you its all in your head.

My doctor said there's nothing he could do for me, he didn't know anything about gynaecological issues.

Try to push to see a specialist, they should be able to advice you and help you as they will have a better understanding

xXx

Hiya, Doctors are ridiculous aren’t they?! I have asked my GP to refer me back to the specialist I am seeing, but keep telling me I don’t need to go back there because they know what they’re doing and they’re just as good🤦‍♀️

In my GP surgery, there is a gynae, and I’m half convinced she doesn’t know what she is doing because every time I see her, she gives me some crap about how she can apparently feel my bowels through my lower abdomen😂🤦‍♀️

Thank you for commenting! I will keep pushing! Xxx
