Pains almost constant

Hello,

I'm currently (like many) waiting for a laproscopy! My aunty and my cousin have both been diagnosed and treated with endo and when talking to them my symptoms match.

I haven't spoken to them too much about it though.

I've been having pain a lot for months, and it doesn't seem to be just a few days or a week in my cycle. I've pretty much been signed off since February as I'm down to only working around 6 hours a week when I should be full time.

Can anyone else confirm whether they have experienced more of a constant pain with endo? I've read a lot about people saying they find it's more linked to certain days within their cycle.

Thank you ๐Ÿ’ž

Hi Bluehusky,

It's awful isn't it ๐Ÿ˜ž i feel your pain.

My pains used to be cyclical & now it's everyday! The slighest thing can flare it worse, like if i walk further then normal or carry heavyish shopping. It's now life ruling.

I had a scan that only revealed pelvic congestion. I'm due my laparoscopy next month, was meant to be next week but got cancelled till next month.

My symptoms are awful womb pressure

Sharp pains, aching down to my knees. Swollen tummy. Extreem tiredness & backache.

Sometimes i feel like i have a persistent UTI too.

It's physically and mentally draining isn't it ๐Ÿ˜ž xx

Thank you for replying ๐Ÿ’ž.Yes, it's so frustrating at the moment!

I'm almost permanently attached to my electric blanket after thankfully discovering such a gadget post tummy burns from hot water bottles!

I hope your laproscopy goes well.

If you don't mind me asking, what scan did you have?

Do you work? If so have you had to be signed off ?

Sending positive vibes โœจ๏ธ

I really hope you're seen soon and you don't have to wait too long.

Hello,

Iโ€™m sorry to hear this Iโ€™m going through the exact same thing. Used to come when period was there now it just comes whenever may be due to IUD and hormones.

My advice some have worked for me some havenโ€™t muscle soaks baths, raspberry tea leaf tablets, ginger tablets, try some calming Teas can help relax. A TENS machine applying heat as well.

Also stress is such a big one for me itโ€™s like my endo knew I had my uni exams this week because I was ok last week but Iโ€™ve been vomiting.

Keep pushing through I know itโ€™s so hard even some days just to walk to the toiket.

I hope you feel better soon and Iโ€™m waiting for my operation as well.

Kisses xx

I think that is what happens when the endo gets really bad. For yaers I was just in pain when I had my periods then it got worse everything stuck together and the pain was 24/7. It got so bad I could not sit or drive. Lap really helped. Just one more month, remember the pain will be better after the op. I took diclofenac and it helped quite a lot while I was waiting.

I donโ€™t think the government takes this disease seriously.. the best thing to do is we need to be vocal about it and write a complaint to your local MP.. I think this is the only way to move forward your surgery list

My symptoms of Endo have never been cyclic, ever! Since the start of my symptoms, over the years, which was unspecific daily back pain, then passing blood clots from kidneys, then bowel obstructions, then chronic sciatica, daily leg pain, fatigue! Iโ€™ve had times when coming on my period has relieved pain! Especially with my abscessed ovary! Jeez! That killed for 5 days!

I am bad bad! Stage 4 +, deep infiltrating aggressive endometriosis in all the worst areas, but as far as I can remember, I never had cyclic symptoms!

Hey lovely, first of all I'm so sorry you're in this position too and want to send my love your way

I'm also waiting for a laparoscopy and have been seeing the doctor about pains and periods for almost eight years, but I'd say in the last year/two years my pain has changed massively - even more in recent months. I keep feeling like I'm somehow getting sicker with it ๐Ÿฅฒ

I have daily pains and have done for ages now, I got put on amitriptyline in October and started at 10mg but have already went up to 30 (going to ask to do 40mg once I'm back from a holiday next month - I'm somewhat hoping the hot weather might bring some relief to my joints)

I've been taking note of a pain diary on my phone for the last few weeks so that I can bring it up if they check in on me again while I wait for surgery but right now I constantly have pelvic and leg pain almost like sciatica, and for recent weeks have almost always been limping on my left leg due to the pains and my nerves feeling knotted ๐Ÿฅฒ and my stomach is always up to something crazy!

I'm self employed and used to walk to and from my studio no bother - 30 minutes each way - but now I get a bus there and sometimes walk back because if I do both walks, it tends to knock me the following day

What I have found that helps is lavender bath salts - a lot of them - in a bath as warm as you can cope with, I've found that offers a lot of pain relief! I also have two hot water bottles, one is meant to go round your neck but I've found that it can fit round your stomach or your thighs really nicely, and my other one is a hot water bottle belt that I can strap on anywhere and wear it about the house or studio

If you're having rubbish tummy days, peppermint tea and dandelion tea are really good and if my stomach is bloated and sore and I'm feeling sorry for myself, ginger beer is nice to change things up a bit ๐Ÿคฃ

I'm on my first period in months (my new pill makes them have zero cycle) and weirdly enough I felt my usual daily pains subside a little which I totally didn't expect!

Hopefully if anything this reassures you that you're not alone in the constant pain and hopefully you can walk away with some new tips and tricks, I hope you're able to get a surgery date soon and that today is a better pain day for you x
