Hello how do people who follow the Endo diet or low for map diets, successfully cut out refined sugars

I can cut out, gluten, dairy , meat, (cut down on caffeine) limit alcohol but sugar is hard!

I didn’t notice a difference the last time I tried the diet but I did not cut out sugar.

I am awaiting On MRI results; I know I won’t be able to get treatment from them as it is a private hospital I will have to be referred to the NHS and the waiting lists are ridiculous!

I am not able to have any type of hormone treatments

Such as the coil or the mini pill or any HRT

I am trying to prepare myself, for when I get the results to being told that there is nothing they can do to help me and I’m hoping that by changing my diet it will help me a little! Of course I’m not starting until after Easter as I want a few chocolate eggs!

Thanks

I had to get into reading labels as sugar gets put into so many things! Sugar is definitely one of my triggers. If you are missing something sweet then initially try having fruit or making energy balls with dates nuts and seeds until you can start to reduce the cravings for something sweet. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply I appreciate it, How do you find doing the diet overall is it hard to stick with long-term? Xx

Initially it was hard to start with until I'd worked out alternatives for everything I used to eat, but years on I now find it quite easy to do and don't really feel like I'm missing out on anything. A big motivating factor for me is that I know if I stray too far away from it I get pain so that really helps me to stick to it.
