Hi all. I had a laparoscopy two years ago, where the doctor confirmed I had PCOS and that they found stage 2, widespread endometriosis in the pouch of Douglas. This was mostly all removed by the doctor at the time. I didn’t think any more of it until last week, where I had two periods in 10 days along with back and pelvic pain (this has never happened before). I’ve never had terrible periods (that I can remember) but maybe when I was younger they might have been a bit heavier and more painful but mostly they where ok, didn’t stop me from getting on with life. I don’t get painful periods now although sometimes I get cramping, but I do get bad mood swings before I’m due on and I suffer from anxiety quite badly and always seem to be tired, but so does everyone at the moment it seems! I started to read up on endo and now I’m totally scared! The ‘specialist’ never mentioned (even at the time) about the endometriosis, literally nothing so I had no idea how serious it is. I’ve been focusing on my PCOS and ignored the endo. I feel so overwhelmed and scared! Is it back? I know there is no cure, but can you stop it from progressing? I feel so overwhelmed and scared about how this is going to affect my health in the future.
