About IVF with low AMH and stage 4 endo

Hlw everyone, hope you are doing well..I am 34 and going for IVF treatment in the next month..I had stage 4 severe endometriosis and gone through laparoscopy surgery.. Now I will be starting my IVF. But I am worried about the AMH level in my age and it is 5.3.Is there anyone who will share experience about this journey and according to my age what could be the possibility of a successful IVF? Please share Your experience and what things should I follow during this stressful journey?

Hi there, I also have stage 4 endometriosis. I had quite major surgery including a whole umbilical reconstruction with endo surgeon and plastic surgeon when I was 38. Aged 40 I had a round of ivf and it worked first time. We couldn’t really believe it. On reflection now the things I think helped through the process were we had no real expectation of getting pregnant so I was very relaxed through the process. Stress plays a major part in conceiving. I ate a really good anti inflammatory diet and continued to practice yoga and exercise, didn’t drink and don’t drink caffeine either any more.

Some of the other key things for me were they harvested a good number of eggs and these didn’t contain any endo. They also went on to fertilise a good number and then in the end I had two blastocysts. The round of down regulation before the stimulation process made me feel good this ‘knocks back’ the endo which is what cause the problems with conceiving.

For yourself it will depend on lots of things. Most of them will be out of your control heading into ivf such as how much endo you have and where it’s located. But if you can manage your environment (diet and lifestyle) and stay destressed through the process that’s the best chance you can give it.
