Recovery time for bowel shave?

Please could someone kindly help, I have stage 4 and am having a 5-6cm ovarian cyst removed, which is pulling the bowel and also a bowel shave. What is the recovery time needed does anyone know away from work / office? Thanks xx

I'm still awaiting a final decision in my surgery but have been told 2 week recovery time if key hole and 6 weeks if properly opened up. But don't know if there are other variations!

Hi, I had a 13cm cyst removed back in June and it was done via key hole surgery. Every body will recover in different ways and heal differently, but I had 6 weeks off work.

Before you are discharged from hospital, ask them for a medical certificate which will sign you off from work.
