I was on implanon for 6years and I took it out so we can start trying for a baby, then my symptoms started. After suffering for over a year of terrible pain and infertility (I have a 8 year old and I’m 37 ), I was referred to gynaecologist. In the month of august, I had a diagnostic laparoscopy which showed I had severe endometriosis. Gynaecologist says he managed to get it all out. No bleeding after procedure, however after my first menstrual period in September, I have be experiencing ongoing spotting which I never had before the procedure. Gynaecologist advised I take the combined pill which will stop ovulation to manage symptoms for 6months or try getting pregnant and yes we are trying😥. My question, have anyone taken the combined pill and did it work or have you experienced spotting after laparoscopy and how did it stop?
Help please!

Mine is different but some similarities. I had laparoscopy in Aug too and was given coil. I had spotting for 2 months continuously with one period in middle. Then nothing since mid-Oct. Some other symptoms and at my 10 week phonecall my gynae just said give everything 6m to settle before changing anything as it was a significant op.
Thank you so much for your message. I have spoken to a few of my gynaecology friends and they have said to give it time to settle. I just hope it stops soon… the spotting is getting in the way of everything especially as we are TTC. I’ll keep you updated of any changes.
