I’ve had my 2nd zoledex injection and I am still having intense pain. I know that the idea is to stop anymore endo from ‘growing’ but one of my drs said if I’m still in pain after having these injections I may not have endo.
But every single symptom I have points at endo.
I am just about to sort out going private as I can’t wait on nhs anymore I need to get back to work and right now I can’t drive as when that bloody stabbing pain happens I can’t help but buckle over in pain.
Does anyone else have bad pain even with the injection?
Also does anyone else struggle with eating due to feeling constantly sick with pain?
Plus any advice on going private as I’m am self funding I want to get it right first time.
Thankyou x

Hello 👋🏻 I am on zolodex with tibilone HRT. They just gave me zolodex by itself first month. It was hell with overnight severe menopause symptoms. everyone reacts differently though. For me it was terrible.
Yes, I still had bad pain on zolodex. Gynaecologist told me this can be due to shutting down of the ovaries. As they do this weird thing where they overwork and then stop. Eventually that pain has totally stopped.
I have felt so sick with pain it’s hard to eat but honestly try anything to get some nutrition/calories in.
What worked for me with the pain was Citalopram which is an SSRI or a modern anti depressant. Chronic pain grinds you down and can cause anxiety and depression. This can make your pain worse and it’s quite common in our community. The meds help to carry you through when you’re desperate.
Sending you so much love as this sounds really rough. 💗💗💗 Keep us posted on how you get on. And if you have anymore questions.
