Hi ladies, has anyone else experienced hair loss as a side affect of zoladex? I had my last (3rd) zoladex last week but in the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed clumps of hair falling out when I shower or even when I put a comb through my hair. It’s making me feel so self conscious as I have a double crown and it seriously just looks like I’ve got a couple of bald patches on my head
I’ve had a lot of stress at work which probably isn’t helping either but I’m getting quite concerned at the high rate and volume of hair loss.

I know that hair loss comes with fluctuations in hormone level, mine falls out when my symptoms are really bad. I spoke to my hairdresser (also has endo so understands) and she told me about the changing hormones. I would recommend seeing you hairdresser and talking to them about it because they can advise you on what is best for your hair etc. I did go to my gp when it first started but they said there wasn't anything they could do.
Did you tell the person giving you the injections?
Hi Melon, thanks for advising. I’ll have a chat with my hairdresser and see what she can suggest. It’s just frustrating; grateful for no pain/heavy periods but now a new problem to deal with. It can feel so relentless sometimes. The nurse doing my injections is just at the gp, not a specialised endo nurse. Perhaps I’ll bring it up if I need to have an additional injection. Thank you for replying
