Lap surgery

Hi everyone,

I’ve been struggling with only one symptom of Endometriosis, I mentioned to my gp that I have pain during intercourse. Usually a sharp pain in my belly. He immediately booked me in for a lap surgery however I don’t have any other symptoms of endo and not sure if I should really be having this operation in the first place as I only experience one symptom.

If anyone could help me or give me an opinion, I would appreciate it.

Thankyou,

Val

Hiya,

Firstly it’s really good that your GP has looked into this as an option, usually it’s the last thing. However I understand where you’re coming from with this as it’s a scary concept especially when you’re not 100% sure as to why you may need it.

Have you spoken to your GP about your concerns or asked the question why he’s decided to go straight to that before exploring other reasons?
