Today's not been the best ... I was due to have my op (laparoscopic hysterectomy) went into hospital this morning was first on op list no time for nerves 😑... unfortunately someone had forgot to order blood for me so they did a quick change to operating list till blood arrived ... theatre nurse came to do hand over blood had arrived.. was all set to go ... after what seemed like forevermy consultant and nurse came to see me they had to cancel my op 😒 I was quite upset until they gave me the reason ... the girl who went into theatre first had had a cardiac incident in theatre ... my op been cancelled seemed very trivial compared to that ... I hope that she makes a full recovery 🙏❤ it must have been so scary I don't know who she is but I'm sending all my love to her 💜 stay strong everyone ❤

Not the best day 😥
Hi what a day and sounds awful what happened to that girl, hope she is alright too 💗Any word on when you will be going in again? Are you having your ovaries removed?
I am also waiting for a hysterectomy x
Provisionally booked for 23rd September and he promised I'll be first on the list and blood will be there waiting I've decided he can take my ovaries I don't want anything left 🤪he can have it all 🙂not sure what happened to her obviously there's confidentiality .... it just put things in to perspective the things we have to go through for a " normal pain-free life "
Hi, really sorry to hear it didn't go ahead after waiting and about the incident. Hope your okay? Hope she is too. X
Sorry it all went wrong for you today. It’s awful that the other girl had problems and hope she is ok. It’s still awful for you as you’d psyched yourself up, made arrangements and all other things, don’t feel badly if you feel let down, it’s natural.I would add that making sure blood can be available is a good thing. I had to go back before op as they hadn’t taken enough blood to be able to make compatible serum and it was lucky I did as I needed it.
Hope it’s not too long.
