I'm looking for some advice. I had laparoscopic excision of a rectovaginal nodule back in April which consisted of a bowel shave with a BSGE surgeon and a bowel surgeon. Been feeling amazing but the last few days I'm feeling the same achy dull pain in my lower left abdomen as before(not nearly as bad) with dodgy bowel movements and constipation. I haven't had a period as been on 3 monthly decapeptyl injections before surgery, my last one was February so expecting period to start soon. Is it possible to have the endo pain so soon without period? Thank you xx

I’m sorry you are having this pain especially so soon. All I can say is my own experience was a very good surgeon removed endo from me 7-8 years ago. I had the same period pain as before pretty much immediately with my first period post surgery and every time since. Debating another surgery but read recent article that mentions that surgery, once thought the gold standard, may not be best treatment approach for every type of endo. I am also looking for more answers. Best wishes to you and I do hopeyou get more relief soon.
Thank you for your reply. I will keep an eye on it but definitely linked to my bowel. Can only assume my period is due to return soon. Best wishes to you too xx
hi sweetie how's u doing sorry to hear that ur suffering 🙁 unfortunately in my own experience it did, but I was on hormonal treatment (which I believe causes endometriosis to grow! as endometriosis already feeds on ur own natural hormones, so why give it more? some Dr's also agree with this theory) are you on any hormonal treatments? hope you feel better soon xxxx if you want to chat plz pm me xxxx
Thanks for your reply. I've been on 3 monthly decapeptyl since September and my last injection was Feb. I was taken off hrt just before my surgery. Still awaiting a period. Definitely not as intense as before but in the same areas. I will have a follow up in October so will discuss with them at the point if its still there. Thanks again x
Just wondering how you are feeling now? I had similar surgery 2 months ago. Womb was stuck to bowel which was unstuck, endo removed from obliterated POD, ovarian cyst removed. I had some relief but my bowels have not really settled and I am having pain on my left ovary again. I also had the mirena inserted which has reduced my periods but not the horrible bowel issues. I am wondering if it is just taking time to heal. Hope things have settled for you.x
Hi, Hope you are well.My bowels are still unpredictable although I don't have the pain before I visit the loo anymore which is good. I've had less pain although I've had a few occasions of sudden pulling pain the last few days. My period returned last month and it was surprisingly ok, didn't feel it coming however I'm due this week and it's feeling uncomfortable. Fingers crossed its ok, it can't be any worse than it was before surely x
