Hi. Thank you for the reply.

I have had the Prostap 3 monthly injection 3 weeks ago. God I have had the worst side effects. Initially nausea and now insomnia and night sweats.

Also had the most painful bleed a week and a half in. Hoping I won’t get a second period this month.

How were you and did things settle down?

Jenny

Hi Jenny,My experience with it was after the first injection within 2 days i had night sweats and a huge change in mood swings as they like to call it ( resulting picking up a candle to throw at husbands head) iv never done this behaviour before, after a week or 2 and a period before my 2nd injection everything settled down, my periods stopped my pain had stopped and i felt on top of the world for 6 months, yes i also had a first painful period, natures way of telling the body that its going to give it to you big time before they are hopefully stopped, this is your first injection so give it time to adapt to your body and do what its supposed to do, everything takes time.

Estrogen/oestrogen has always been the problem in my case as with endo so to put hopefully an end to 20 years of it i had a full hysterectomy last week.

Anything you would like to know just ask away

😁Diane.

Thanks so much for the reply.

Luckily my moods haven’t been too bad. Felt a little low some days.

Hoping the sweats settle down soon I’m getting very little sleep.

Hope you recover well after your Hysterectomy x

Hopefully it will as its more semi menopausal than the real thing over a short period of time, wear something light or nothing at all helps a little at bed time, thankyou first horrible week is over with, just exhausted still at the minute but time is a healer and im not rushing to do anything which is hard for a person who likes to be independent ☺️

I was on prostap for endo for 6 months and most recently only for 2 weeks for FET.Nothing settled down for me. It was horrible. All the insomnia, night sweats, day sweats, no appetite , mood swings, anger, it was just mental. What I should have done was go and talk to my gp about the hormonal management of my symptoms.

There are ways of easing it down. Do not make my mistake and suffer in silence.

Sorry to hear you suffered the whole time. I am mainly night sweats and insomnia currently. The nausea settles down thank god. Think that was from the initial increase in oestrogen before it falls.

How did your FET go after the down regulation?

I have been pregnant twice with IVF just can’t get passed 7 week. Then was diagnosed with adenomyosis.

Scan on the 06 Sept after this three months then FET hopefully. It’s my last embryo of this first cycle so holding all hop on it.
