Hi ladies

Let me start but giving you a brief outline of things.

I’ve been diagnosed with endo/pcos I have been for 1 surgery already and have an appointment with the hospital at the end of this month, the referral was made in January I went on my nhs app and requested someone calls me to book an appointment but because of Covid things got put on hold (completely understand that hats off to the drs and nurses that’s really got us through this pandemic and the sacrifices they have made) anywho I’ve been suffering with pain since before then, lost my employment because of the pain, in which has gotten worse and as silly as it sounds I only went to a&e once on all that time because I saw it as the nhs has enough to deal with and so I cut all my activities down because of the pain come June (when I went to a&e I was booked in but I wasn’t given any scan or nothing I was just told it’s a endo flare up they game me painkillers and I was sent on my way……they told me to call gyne. And get booked in when I called I was told there was no record of a request to be booked In anyway do appointment was made happy days

My question is my condition is now effecting my back and I have requested to move but as I am in a flat myself an exchange isn’t possible (I feel like we know what this is like ) I know if I ask my gp to write a letter they charge £30 for it, is there anyway I would be able to get the hospital or if there is a support worker that I am able to get in touch with about this because my council isn’t taking me serious on my own my condition is worsening and o am desperate to move and I fear if I have my surgery I will be taken less seriously and there are other personal factors as to why I need to move any one have any advice would be a great help 🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃

I am sorry you have had such a long and complicated journey to get to a hospital appointment. I have a feeling the GP letter will be required at some stage for your housing move - presumably they are the only one up to date with your health issues. I do think it unfair that you have to pay when presumably you are on a limited income now. Re the housing moves have you thought about contacting your local councillor or MP for help, explaining your health issues? They will both have local surgeries or you could contact them in writing.

Hope you can get a solution xx

Thank you so much for your kind words and I think I’m going to have to pay for the gp letter xx
