Zoladex side effects

Has anyone or does anyone have issues with their intimate area due to a side effect from the Zoladex injection. My in area becomes really dry, sharp stinging pain and feels like I'm being torn apart. If anyone has this problem or had the problem is there anything you can suggest for me to try and ease the pain and discomfort. So far I have tried Vagisil and Canenstan cream although my gynaecologist said I don't have thrush so don't need canenstan cream

Hi! I have exactly the same problem. I've been on zoladex for just over a year now and still have the problem. It's not nice is it? My Dr just told me to have regular soaks to try to ease the discomfort. I'm seeing my gyne in 2 weeks time so I'll ask again and let you know. Sorry I'm not much help. 🙂

Thank you for your reply. Yeah I tend to get in Bath a lot to help ease it. It worked at first, but this time round not so much. I could cry with it. And thank you I'd appreciate that. My gynaecologist was much help due to language barrier.

Hey. I was 20 when I was put on zoladex for 5 months. It worked well for me and the only side effects was my boobs grew and the hot flushes were not very nice. Apart from that, I had a great experience for it taking away my major symptoms. In regards to my intemate area, I had thrush all through the time I was on zoladex and I used canenstan cream and the vaginal tablet aswell as antibiotics and it seems to calm down the itch but still was present

Hi thank you for your reply. I had zoladex 2 years ago and other than hot sweats all was fine. This time I'm having issues with my intimate area. I saw my gynaecologist 2weeks back and she checked everything. I dont have thrush. There was also a language barrier so she didn't suggest anything. I told her I tried canasta cream, she said I don't need it because I don't have thrush.

I did have hot flushes but iv been given HRT os that solved that. Seems to be 1 thing after another. I can't catch a break right now. :( 😞. Iv had 6months of zoladex now. Just waiting to see the specialist.

I'm glad the zoladex is working for you if you keep on the injection maybe ask for HRT to help the sweats.

I had tiblrone I think it’s called to combat the hot flushes but never helped!! So thankful I’m off them now though because they said I could only stay on them for 5 months then had another surgery and the zoladex and HRT caused a giant ovarian cyst size of a orange!! X

Oh blimey. I'm on that hrt for my hot flushes and it works well. It's amazed how you get told different things. I was told I can stay on it for 6months only but then specialist mentioned about maybe staying on the zoladex for 12months
