Suspected Endo and High Oestrogen levels

Hi there,

I just joined this forum today. Quick background. My periods have always been super heavy and painful and I’m suffering pain from ovulation until the end of my period. My fatigue is also unmanageable.

I saw a private specialist last week as I’ve been waiting for 8 months on the nhs.

I had an ultrasound in March which was clear. However I had very high oestrogen levels. (3000pmol) My other hormones and thyroid profile are within range.

The private gynaecologist says she thinks I have endo. She is also really worried at how high my oestrogen is and wants me to have an MRI of my adrenal glands urgently. I couldn’t afford anything more than a one off consultation so am back on an nhs waiting list.

Im meant to start the pill after a hormone retest on day 2 of my cycle and I’m hoping that will give me some relief re endo.

I am a bit scared about the need for an MRI though.

Has anyone else had such high oestrogen levels and it been a ok? (I defo wasnt preggo btw)

Basically the MRI is to check if I have an oestrogen producing tumor. I have no idea how likely that is so anyone with a benign reason for isolated very high oestrogen levels, hit me up. It would really put my mind at rest.

Cheers x
