Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else suffers from pressure and pain from behind and around their pubic bone? That’s the only way I can describe it. It’s quite low down and can sometimes feels like my bladder is also about to burst. I get it the week before my period, during it and for a few days after. I have stage 3 Endo but never used to have this pain. I’m worried my Endo may have spread and which area may now be affected. I’m waiting for a refferal to see a consultant but knowing what the waiting lists are like not holding my breathe. I have Endo in & on my ovaries, cul de sac area and ligaments.
Thank you x

Hello LucyAM,
I developed this kind of pressure/pain a couple of years ago - it almost feels like a bloat? I have never been diagnosed with anything within my bladder - although I did start to have urinary symptoms around the same time and have since suffered with chronic UTI’s and kidney infections. I have since just had surgery to remove some of the endo, which my consultant told me was around my urethras. I have also been told by other doctors/consultants that there is a likelihood that it has grown within the urethras and possibly my bladder. I have never had any surgical intervention - but I am waiting to speak to my gynaecologist (probably futile) about seeking an MRI which I believe is able to diagnose this kind of organ/system based growth of endo tissue. Do you have any similar symptoms that have coincided with the development of pressure/change in pain?
Hello. Thank you so much for your reply. No I haven't had any other symptoms or infections etc. When I had my laparoscopy in 2014, my consultant did say that the endo was sort of wrapped around my urethra too but not actually on it. I was experiencing some discomfort when needing to go to the toilet but that was it really. It was nothing like now. I can't decide if its bladder area related or uterus - but maybe its too low down for that! But because it all seems to be linked in with my period I was worried it might. Its so hard to guess what's going on inside isn't it? I hope it goes well when you speak to your gynaecologist and they will give you an MRI so you can get a diagnosis.
That’s really interesting! It’s really hard to know what’s happening because the pain can be so displaced and we can only guess! I know exactly what you mean about it being hard, my lower tummy does exactly the same thing and it’s super uncomfortable - nothing really ever seems to relieve it.
I hope you find some answers about what’s happening and let me know if you do!
I’m really new here and just trying to come to terms with living with this condition - I was only recently diagnosed at 27 after fighting for years for answers. If you’d ever like to connect and chat then pop me a message!
That would be lovely, I will. I feel very isolated with my endo as I don't know anyone else who has it and people get tired of hearing "Im in pain again today" so start to ignore it a bit! I accidentally discovered this site in April and I'm finding it really helpful to be able to ask others questions and to feel less alone with it x
Hi LucyAm, I posted about this a few days ago too! I have an appointment with a gynae today where I am going to raise it. I'll let you know if they tell me anything useful!
