Rectal pain carries on before periods and I still have rectal bleeding during periods. I had a first session with a woman physio to control the prolapse to see if it would improve the rectal and back pain. I have anterior and posterior vaginal wall prolapse. I have been examined by gynaecologist and physio but today I had a look myself. When I caught I can see some pink tissue bulge. It is not coming out of vagina yet. I am mainly focused on prolapse part of my problem these day and not worrying too much about bleeding.
The pain that comes from prolapse is definitely worse after being on my feet, near to period and even mild exercise. It is a shame when I take my son to park and here and there, I start to feel pain after an hour. I feel I am not functioning as a mum and I can't be too much fun.
Does prolapse always get worse? Should I be ready for the day that I will eventually have stage 4 and need an operation?

Hi I have a bladder prolapse due to having hysterectomy 4 years ago, it’s not nice to know something is not where it should be and I find it gets quite sore if I walk too much, I am having physio over the phone which has been helpful but I don’t think it will cure it. I am resigning myself to get geared up for surgery at some point although there is a risk of it returning after if we aren’t extremely careful and no lifting heavy things. I am 46 and my children are adults now but it must be hard with young ones. Hope it goes well for you. I think you can have a pessary ring fitted if you haven’t had a hysterectomy. I have been told it’s a bit harder to fit one if you haven’t a cervix. Good luck x
Thanks..Yes,I guess my next step after some physio will be pessary or maybe kind of electric impulses they give to muscle to get them activated? I am 44 and my son in 4 and energetic. I try to take him out to places but remind myself to sit down when I feel pain.
