Zoladex side effects

I have the Zoladex injection and I have experienced painful ovulation (headache, cramps, sore lower back) that I never had before. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Zoladex will stop ovulation but in the first week or 2 of taking it your hormones ramp up before slowing down so you might find that your symptoms worsen x

I’ve just had my second Zoladex injection, and I still get all of these. Headaches constantly, cramping, abdo pain, back pain and down my thighs. Most recently my joints are now aching, of the fun we all go through in an attempt to make it better in the long run!

After my first Zoladex injection I ended up in hospital admitted for nearly a week. Bad flare of pain including vomiting and dehydration was so bad. I just got my 4th injection today and it has changed my life completely ! Zero pain! I do have other side effects but manageable thankfully. Hope this helps.

Hi, your dr should have prescribed you add back estrogen to take after the zoladex injection to help eliminate these symptoms, especially the headaches. This is my 2nd round of zoladex and the first time I forgot to take the add back estrogen and had terrible headaches and hot flushes, this time I'm taking it and am having neither of those symptoms at all !
