Does anyone suffer from low blood sugar or hypoglycaemia from Endometriosis?
I get sudden lows where my vision blurs, I get dizzy and weak and the only thing that sometimes helps is sugar. Does anyone know anything more about why this happens or have any tips??

I don’t officially know if I do medically. But it happens to me a lot.
I just keep snacks in my bag and try to eat things to maintain my Glycemic Index. So porridge, oat cakes, nuts etc. Stay hydrated. When I go out I always mention it to someone in case I faint. It helps me not feel as anxious.
Sorry I can’t be much more help - you can message me and let’s keep talking. So important to not fee alone with all the craziness we have going on in our bodies x
Thank you for your reply. Yes exactly, It's comforting knowing we're not alone with these mad symptoms. There's so little research into it sometimes I look things up and there's just no information.
I'll message you
Hi Sea,I have low blood sugar often too. I don't live on junk food, so it's puzzling.
Here's an article on endo & fatigue & low blood sugar:
Annoyingly, the article says more studies are needed and doesn't really offer reasons. It does suggest things like getting a blood test and eating a health diet & getting sleep.
Hi, I also don’t know if I medically have low blood sugar but experience it often. It puzzles me as to why it happens, it comes on quite suddenly. I try to eat a balanced diet and drink water through the day. Of course those strong hormones lead to a crave for some naughty foods occasionally especially before menstruation but I often don’t know where the ‘sugar dip’ comes from. They make me anxious when they come on as I feel faint. I would like to see some widespread research done into it as I’m sure many of us with endo suffer with it. Can I ask ladies how long does it last for? When do you see an improvement when you eat something?
I find it takes a long time to feel back to ‘normal’ whatever that is with endo, it’s like the rollercoaster of symptoms the older I get. I didn’t know if the way I feel was to do with blood pressure or blood sugar levels. X
Yes, more research into this would be a massive help!
When it comes to how long they last for, I think mine depends on how low the sugar level is. Like today I felt the beginning of a sugar low, just a little faint but not too bad and I very quickly went and had lunch, then after lunch I felt totally fine. But the other day when I had a much more serious low it took about 2 or 3 hours to feel normal again after eating lots of dark chocolate and a meal. In which time I had to stop work and turn to Netflix for a while... :/
