Hi

I'm currently on ssp and been off since 22nd December. However I didn't start claiming till 11th January, 2021.

I'm still get excruciating pains every couple of weeks, and was thinking of returning to work, but my job is a physical job working with children. Work are hesitant for me to return, and I know it will be a phase return, with limited job.

My question is, is it worth going back, or do I wait for my op date? I know ssp is only available for 28 weeks, is there another benefit I can claim?

Also I have a mortgage, so an independent person. Haven't approached tbd mortgage company, but surviving on savings at the moment.

Any advice or guidance .....anything, would be grateful 🙂

Hi,

I've linked the Employers-Guide from Endometriosis-UK so that you might have a better idea of where you stand with your employer.

Sorry, I'm not too sure about benefits... I'll keep an eye out for any information I might come across.

Thank you Catherine, I had no choice but accepted returning to work on a phase return. I haven't been given a date for the op, has the hospital that I am treated at current are not rushing to past my notes on, which is frustrating.Thank you anyway.
