TTC with endo and low progesterone, help please!?

I have been begging to have my progesterone tested for years since I started to have lutheal phase spotting that lasts pretty much throughout the whole time. It has alway been dismissed as 'normal' or not worth investigating.

I got diagnosed with endo in October and I'm at a stage where I have to TTC naturally. I have 4 months otherwise I need to have IVF so they can then treat my endo. At this point I thought the spotting might be due to endo but no doctor confirmed that.

Anyway I decided to have progesterone test privately this cycle, the ones you do through a finger blood from Superdur doctor. I did it on day 23 considering my cycle is 30 days. It came back today showing 7.1 nmol/L. Which is I believe extremely low for lutheal phase and I probably didn't even ovulate or even if I didn't it didn't increase enough for it to be able to support pregnancy or to even be able to get pregnant.

Let me know if you have experiece with anything like this.

I don't even know what to do next. IVF appointment is set for end of July and honestly I am not looking forward to it. If I have low progesterone whether because I haven't ovulated or due to some defect I feel I have no chance of conceiving naturally anyway. I'm at my wit's end. I don't even know who to talk to so I can get treatment for the progesterone.

I had luteal phase defect when ttc. My cycles were/are 25 days. I had to insist on a 3 day test. They only wanted to test one day of my luteal phase. 3 days shows a better view of when the drop in progesterone is. It’s been awhile but I believe I tested 2 days after ovulation. Then again. 2 days. Then again 2 days. My luteal phase was so short I was practically on my cycle again by the last test. I don’t recall exact numbers now as it’s been 8 years but it went from somewhere like 14 to 9 to 0.2. It was scary low. And no way to conceive natural with such a short luteal phase. That was before my endo diagnosis but I had heard short luteal phase can be common and even one indicator of having endo. As far as solutions well I did try progesterone capsule that is inserted vaginally(sorry tmi). That helped extend my luteal phase to 12-14 days and balance my cycle to 30/31 days. After that and some other meds didn’t help I had surgery to confirm endo which I have stage 4. Instead of IUI or IVF I opted for domestic newborn adoption. My son is now 5. I’m super happy with that. But I know from experience not everyone wishes that path. I never tried IVF but it is very effective for endo and short luteal phase. Also I tried natural yam cream available otc which is natural progesterone. So that could work while waiting for a prescription.
