Hi I’m wondering if anyone else suffers from endometriosis & sever IBS. I had a terrible flare up over Christmas time & it’s settled but this week I have been in agony, the painkillers are so strong I just sleep, I have zero energy, have terrible hip & back pain. Just wondering how people cope? Pain relief (except burning yourself with a hot water bottle this seems to be the only way to make pain manageable) I’m waiting for surgery but I feel like it’s now affecting my mental health

Endometriosis and IBS
Hi,Just wanted to show my support I’m also awaiting surgery soon and have ibs, I’ve been a mess, in so much pain I’m having to take the stronger pain relief but then I think that’s causing constipation which in turn makes the pain worse 🙄. I had a coffee yesterday to see if it helped things along (I sopped drinking coffee over a year ago as it was causing issues) helped the constipation but then I think it or rated my bowel as I ended up with the upper stomach pain, more trips to the loo and the lower endo pain. I have constant lower left pain too and I’m also feeling my mental health is affected.
Are the pain meds causing you bowel issues too?
I do wonder if we do have ibs or if it’s endo of the bowel which I’m worried about.
Hi thank you for responding, yes the pain killers do make other things more difficult, I’m just finding it tough recently as it’s been relentless. Just worried it could also be on my bowel but trying not to stress. Looking for tips on what helps easy the pain without being pain relief medication. Any exercise recommendations?
