Hey everyone, hope you're all having a good day. My laparoscopy has been postponed due to Covid and I'm struggling with the pain but can't take any more pain relief.. any suggestions? <3

I find a hot water bottle helps. Try a massage and pain relief too.

Hey,

The hospital were going to do a laparoscopy but they told me that it wouldn't benefit me if I had one, yet I am still suffering with my periods, pains etc ....

Why don't they think you'll benefit from one?

they said my previous scan and laparoscopic looked normal

so then they said there is no evidence of pathology for my underlying pelvic pain.

There's always underlying pathology for pelvic pain. Don't take no for an answer, you shouldn't have to live in constant pain and you know your body more than anyone

Try peppermint tea and buscopan. I find that works for me.

Some suggestions beyond painkillers: hot water bottle or alternatively a BeYou patch; ginger as a natural painkiller (fresh or dried/capsule); magnesium, cinnamon, turmeric supplements; bath with epsom salts or magnesium flakes; if can manage it - 20mins or so of very gentle yoga/breathing (youtube Yoga with Adrienne does a very gentle 20mins PMS/Period pain one). I personally find avoiding caffeine, alcohol and anything that upsets my guts and messes with my hormones especially important just before a period. There's also something called a TENS machine for pain - never tried it myself but see it listed quite often in relation to endo pain.

Hope to help a little, you're not alone but it is so cr*p! Take care :) xx
