Hi all, happy Wednesday:)

Ope you are all well.

Question and I hope someone can share some knowledge:)

I've recently had my pelvic ultrasound scan.

It come back as a borderline result . What could it mean? I'm waiting for gyneacology appointment and another scan. Also my CA125 level are abnormal ( 80).

As you probably can imagine I'm freaking out as have no idea what to expect...

Any advice/ information are more than welcome!:)

Many thanks,

Natalia

Hi

Do you have a gynae appointment booked? Your GP should be able to access the results if it’s way off.

Was the ultrasound to look for endo specifically?

The CA test is sometimes used for endo but it’s not recommended as a diagnosis for endo, I think that’s in the NICE guidelines.

I had scans last year for abnormal fit test, it does get worrying. The best thing is try, not easy, to consider worst case scenarios, most of the time it isn’t.

How are symptoms otherwise?

Hi Moon_maiden!:)

Still waiting for date...

My GP have the results but said that they are not really clear. Then need to investigate cyst, and high level of CA.

My symptoms are very common for endo.

I've been referred for scan as I do experience pain in my left pelvic side.( it keeps wake me.up during night).

Anyway... git no other option but wait for appointment..

Always a good idea to rule things out at least. At least you have a proactive GP 🙂

It probably won’t take them long to organise the scan, aim for MRI, I think it shows more.
