Period during Zoladex injections?

Hi all. Just wondered if anyone else has had a proper period during zoladex injections? My first injection lasted a month and caused some initial bleeding, I then had an injection which lasts 3 months. I'm due for another on thurs but this week have had a full heavy period!? Has anyone else experienced similar?

Hi there, I had something similar when I was on prostap last year - initial bleed in the first month then nothing for about 8 weeks (which was great!) but then I had about 8 weeks of on/off (but mostly on) bleeding that just got heavier and heavier and was painful. I ended up taking iron tablets and trying tranexamic acid which maybe slowed it a little but I could only take that for 4 days and it just returned back to being really heavy. Eventually it did stop though. I spoke to my consultant about halfway through as the gp was reluctant to keep giving the monthly injections without their advice, but the consultant just said I was unlucky and it would stop at some point - which it did. That's really helpful thank you! Sounds similar to my experience. Only got 3 months left on Zoladex so hopefully I'll just be able to stick it out for the home stretch!
