Hi all wondering if you can help.

Long story short... came off my pill after 10 years and 10 months in started extremely heavy bleeding none stop for 12 weeks. Bleeding through clothes and it times all over the floor/walls! This was out of nowhere and extremely traumatic! This was during the pandemic so I didn’t have the resources available I should have. Had an internal ultrasound and endometrial biopsy which were okay. I have now been on norethisterone since August while I await a gynaecology appointment.

Since being on medication I have bouts of absolute extreme pain. The pain is extremely low down, and also sometimes in my hips and bum. The pain leads to feeling sick and faint or fainting on occasion.

Could this be endometriosis? My doctor told me that’s what they’re considering but no one has said this to me. Sadly due to the pandemic I am left in the dark and struggling to deal with the uncertainty and also possible infertility (came off the pill to get pregnant). Any help or support would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear that your having this issue the bleeding must be so scary!

I suffer with brown discharge outbreaks (on contraceptive pill) so they believe it’s that but had a random bleed so have been referred for an internal ultrasound to check everything out as my cervix looks clear and had a clear smear 6 months ago.

Is what your experiencing a side effect of the tablets you are on I was prescribed these a few years ago and didn’t get on well with them at all!
