How long do ultrasound results take to come back?

Hi everyone,

I want to see if this is normal as I weren’t expecting for this to come back so soon! So, I had my ultrasound Tuesday (yesterday) and I got a phone call today (Wednesday) from the doctors receptionist to say that the doctor wants to have a follow up call re my ultrasound... I didn’t expect them to come through so quickly, but the call is Thursday (tomorrow). Is it normal for results to come back that quick?

Yeah they're all electronic nowadays. The radiologist doing the ultrasound knows what to look at and what to take screenshots / measurements of. They can send all that right after your appointment to the GP (or specialist), whom can review the results as soon as they're all attached to your records - could be later that day when they have time allocated.

Yes I was the same with my ultrasound results I think they email them hope everything is okay xx
