Hi,

I had a lap in August and since then where my cannula was put in flares up like this it gets worse then this then goes dry and then flares again. Having the cannula put in really really hurt and I’m just a bit concerned about it anyone else seen anything like this?

Thanks

Cannula insertion does come with risks which include nerve damage and infection, as well as others. Usually standard advice after having one will be to contact your GP or the hospital if you have any redness or swelling afterwards. I would therefore suggest you contact your GP surgery and ask where to go from here. Be prepared to advise when the irritation first occurred, how often it appears, how long it lasts for and all associated symptoms.
