bpas.org/about-our-charity/... hopefully this will help. Looks like you need evidence of 12 month of artificial insemination first and it not working before some clinic will take you on. Postcode lottery thing. In only glanced at it though. So might have missed something that's valuable to you. Good luck x
I’m not sure if that’s a thing. When my consultant discussed IVF with me, he said it wouldn’t work in my favour that I didn’t live with my partner, even though we’ve been together 5 years. So I’m not sure how they’d feel if you were single? Maybe egg freezing would be an option?
You can have ivf as a single woman on the NHS but I can imagine they won’t make it easy to access. Please share how it goes, also other factors like age and post code will affect if you get it
Hi, all I will say is that you will need a very good support network during Ivf. It is a very emotional experience. Putting your body , mind and soul through this isn't easy.. I went through this 5 times however, I had a good support network yet still found it very difficult as the drugs you put in your body mess with your mind..from feeling and believing you are pregnant to not actually being pregnant, I could write a book. All I will say is I wish you all the best of luck and hope it all works out for you. X
I had IVF with a NHS hospital. It was Birmingham Women's Hospital. I had to pay but it was less expensive than a private company. I did have to wait abit too as I was on a list with other non paying couples. Also, I was CMV negative and would only match me with other CMV negative donors. Being CMV negative is supposed to be rarer. So this took longer.. You can have IVF on NHS but it depends on how many times you have IUI treatments with a UK clinic and postcode. Sorry, your relationship didn't work it though. Maybe you could try egg freezing. But, it is more expensive than IVF. Currently the law only allows clinics to keep frozen eggs for 10 years. It also doesn't have the best success rate and best done when women are in their 20s.
