Is there any way to treat/reduce adenomyosis?

Hi ladies,

Does anyone know if there is a way to dampen adenomyosis, in a fertility context? I don’t have pain, so I don’t need painkillers but I am wondering if there is any treatment or remedies that can reduce the adenomyosis so it does not interfere with embryo implantation.

Thanks

Hi I will be having Zoladex before any transfers, plus fragmin and prednisolone for adenomyosis management before transfer and maybe a HCG wash. Hope this helps

Thanks for answering. Are you having fresh or frozen embryo transfer?

Only frozen transfers as fresh not recommended for women with adenomyosis. Lots of studies on this x

How many weeks of down regulations will you have? And how much prednisolone? I had read about the hcg wash but my doc has not tried this before on FET. Has yours already had success with it?

What is fragmin? My doc suggested Visanne for two month begore transfer. Have you heard of any success stories from Visanne? I dont think its from GNRH family but a kind of progesterone like medication

I am interested in the answers below as I was told nothing could be done for it.

My RE suggested Visanne for two month before transfer but we are still in the process of ivf doinf embryo banking. I sm actually curios to know if anyone had success reducing Adeno size for the same purpose. Did you get any mecications or results?

I read a research done with patients with Adenomyosis going on GNRH antagonist 4-12 weeks before transfer and it helped implantation n preventing miscarriages. But I am not sure if Visanne is from GNRH family.

I got lupron injections for my first transfer 3 years ago for 3 month but it did not help stopping my period nor transfer was success. But I had other conditions too back then with a very large fibroid together with Adeno which they thought its a fibroid!

This is one research mentioning multiple ways of treating Adeno.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

If I can find the other comparing rate of implantation n live birth between Adenomyosis patients will share it too!
