Back sufferer for years, around my period time. Progressively got worse and started bleeding clots. As a result the scan showed suggested Adenomyosis and I was referred to gynae.
Spoke with him on phone a few months later and he prescribed me with 3 months of zoladex and coil fitted. After this I was due to have a hysterectomy on the 16th Dec but this has been cancelled due to covid.
I missed my last zoladex in November and have been having a light bleed (pink in colour) got concerned so went to the GP. They did a swab and urine sample and I should get results today I’m shitting myself. So scared it’s something serious. The initial urine dip test came back with blood traces.
Has anyone bled lightly about 7-8 weeks after last injection. Is this normal ? Could it be my hormones started up again due to the break?
I keep thinking the worst x

HiSorry your op has been postponed, hopefully won’t be too long
Try not to worry too much, not easy, I’ve had blood traces show loads last year, not so much this. If it’s gone to the lab it’ll give more info and the right treatment. Let us know how you get on 🙂
My periods didn’t return after Zoladex, so may have put me in menopause or just didn’t have enough time, hysterectomy last month. I’d read it can take from six weeks to a few months or so.
I think it’ll vary enormously, with all this it always seems to. 🙂Good the test came back clear, doesn’t always help when it does as we still end up with issues. It doesn’t help when they struggle to give an answer.
I’m not entirely sure, but I don’t think doctors are either. I had various scans and kidneys looked ok, levels would fluctuate on a blood test up and down. I have suspicions that due to a lot of adhesions he found when he did the hysterectomy and endo removal, they could have been part of the cause. Time will tell on that one. Have you been getting UTI’s
Sorry I have suffered UTI all my life. The urine is now clear, had bloods done this week should get result. They still want me to continue with zoladex and Now HRT but I’m not too sure. Xxx
I was on it six months. It’s only licensed for six injections for endo. They should make you aware of this and go through that it’s off licence. You have to be careful regarding bone density, especially without HRT.
