Seeking advice - as trouble from Endo surgery is arising after 4 months!

Hi everyone,

Haven’t posted in a while, but seeking some advice!

So, I had my operation which successfully removed endo (19th August) and have had amazing periods ever since. Horrendous cramps that wake me up one night that the the period starts but then bleeding for about 3 days then it’s over and minimal cramps in the lead up to the period starting - it has been amazing!! As I’ll take one night of pain for a month if not endo!

However, this last cycle has been difficult. I started getting cramps a few weeks before my period was due, and then whilst I had the same period as the previous months (like clockwork on the same day), I’ve had really bad cramps for the week even after it’s finished. I have had a lot of stress going on over the past few weeks/ months, so I am being very weary and realistic that it could be some stress that’s triggered stuff or perhaps healing (as they say don’t they up to 6 months to get fully recovered).

However, I’ve recently in the past week or so, discovered red (looks like hot water bottle heat marks) marks on my abdomen, basically my lower belly is permanently got red marks on it. Also, I have had some pain when having sex (something I have never struggled with even when I had endo and was pre op). The last time me and my partner had sex it was incredibly painful afterwards and I needed to lie down and have tablets and a hot water bottle straight away! Sometimes it strains during sex aswel - again something that’s never been a problem or even been a problem post op up until recently.

I guess, can anyone shed any light on their post op journey pre 6 months or has any advice that this is normal/ or perhaps isn’t??

I have chased up my post op consultation today as they said I’d receive a letter in December and I still hasn’t. I am keen to discuss all of this with my consultant who did the op but she is off sick so it’s going to be next year before I can speak to someone about all of this.
