I have suffered three miscarriages. The last one was at 10 to 12 weeks after IVF. I am wondering if it could be endo rearing it's ugly head again and am scared to go for another round of IVF. I was referred to the hospital by my doctor but they refused to do a laparoscopy even though when I was in my 20s a lap did wonders for me. They said if scan doesn't show endo I will have to go on birth control, but isn't it true that endo doesn't always show up on a scan? They've told me my ovaries are deeply rooted. Do I go on birth control for a few months then get off it and go for IVF or will this not help I am so desperate for answers. Please somebody help me.

Hello there ,. I have stage 4 endo and according to my RE the standard treatment for endo patientd undergoing ivf is to downregulate for a few months by giving contraceptives to stop period either pills or injectiions to stop the growth of endo lesions by puttig a woman in a temporary menopausal state .. and this is my second ivf this is what i did i was taking decapeptyl for 5 months before i started sadly my endo returned on stims and i had a negative pregnancy test but i heard a lott of women doing downregulation and it increases chances especially for endo patients
Thanks for your response. I guess that is what I am most worried about. If I start the pills and when I come off them the endo comes back! Apparently some women fall pregnant in the later stages of endo because inflammation is lower. I suffer with a lot of inflammation so that could also be a factor in my losses.
