Hello, im feeling lost and no one seems understand how im feeling with this pain. Following erratic and painful periods and awful pains in my right hip area for a few years i was sent for a Laprascopy 4 years ago. They confirmed 'a small spot of endo' on my right ovary. Nothing more was mentioned or done about it and i plodded along. Fast forward around 2 years, the pain is still there but i am now on the minipill which is helping to keep it at bay. I start developing bowel problems and food intollerances. Im told its IBS and stress causing it. Im given so many different medication for IBS and this year ive finally got through to my GP that enough is enough. Nothing is working and he referes me to Gastro. Gastro also think its IBS but want me to go for furthdr tests. Ive since self refered to a Gynae consultant with speciallty in endo and he thinks everything could be related to the endo, as its been left alone for 4 years, and he wants me to have another Lap.
Everytime ive asked in the past if the bowel problems could be related to the endo ive been dismissed. I feel like due to the favt it was written in my notes the endo was only small, no one wants to consider it as a cause.
Im happy that they are finally listening and sending me for another lap but im terrefied that its going to show the endo hasnt changed and theres no explanation or solution for my pain. It sounds crazy but i hope the endo has spread a little only so i can have an answer to my pain! Im tierd from being made to feel like im making the constant pain up, or looked at like im being dramatic on the days i physically cannot get out of bed from pain and exhaustion.
Theres no real question in the post i just needes a little rant and maybe here that others have had a similar experience and im not completley alone in this?

You won’t be alone in what you’ve gone through, GP etc. Mine is slightly in reverse, but any gastro tests are still coming back negative.
It’s not easy going through different stages and it doesn’t make sense that we want the answer there. Your gynae is probably right though, I hope you don’t have to wait too long for answers. 🙂
I completely feel you! I had a lap 3 years ago to remove a large cyst and they also found a tiny bit of Endo which they removed. I had about a year and half with only minimal symptoms during my period and nothing else and it was bliss. Sadly for the last year or so things have been going rapidly downhill, horrible stomach issues (was also diagnosed with IBS 6 years ago, had loads of tests and all came back normal), always extremely bloated and my hips, back and upper thighs ache all day everyday and get a lot worse during my period. Spoke to a gynea but because it was such a small amount of Endo they were Very hesitant to refer me to an Endo specialist, but I’ve kept pushing for it and after almost a 10 months of waiting I’m expecting a letter this week with a new appointment. I’m so sorry you’re going through this too, I doubt whether it all the symptoms are from the Endo too but I just can’t think of what else it could possibly be. Hope you get the help and support you need soon!
