Hi,

I'm curious how your healing's going? Have your stitches now dissolved? I'm now 4.5 weeks in and my belly button stitch is as rigid as the day I was operated on!! Also still have those sharp pains, are you now pain free?

Hey!

My belly button I’ve also been having problems with ever since surgery. It’s ok at the moment. The other 2 have healed lovely. Yh I’m pain free touch wood. Xx

Great news, I'm glad you're pain free and hoping I get to that point soon!. Good luck with the belly button, I remember seeing you were struggling with it - Mine's been fine but the stitch is determined to stay put! xx

Try rubbing a little bit of vaseline gently over stitch it will help to soften it and come away easier when ready

Heya,

I’m about 16 days post op and started using my silicone patches to work on the scar day 10 and when all the staples came out day 14 I started with bio oil and rosehip oil as well. My scar is healing well and doesn’t seem irritated by the treatment/oils.

I use the silicone patches every evening now for 8-12 hours and they seem to work to really flatten the scar. I had open surgery so my scar is quite large and a lot more noticeable, but it’s still early days. All the doctors and nurses are sure it will flatten and become more of a neutral colour with time.

I would say if you scar has closed up okay, looks like it’s healing from the outside and no discomfort when you apply the product, it should be fine. The sooner you start treatment the better the results.

What serum are you using, please share! Anything that may work I am willing to try.

All the best x
