After diagnosis help please? Newbie

Finally in December 2017 I was able to get a laparoscopy and diagnosed with endo. After the operation though I didn't come round quickly so my consultant had gone home and when questioned if I had it, all the nurse said was yes you have it everywhere (?) and no follow up required. When I went to see my doctor he gave me a print out what they had sent him but said it was very brief.

The last two and a bit years I have kind of been on my own with dealing with it and I am not sure what to do next now my symptoms are becoming unbearable again. I am also 30 and said I didn't want to go on the pill due to wanting kids and while we aren't actively trying we haven't used anything and nothing has happened. At 27 this wasn't an issue but now I am almost 31 maybe its something I should be concerned about?

I am gaining weight badly and I know its down to my endo and even though I work out six days a week and constantly training for marathons so I am really not using it as an excuse but there is something wrong with me.

Should I be going back to my GP and be saying what do I do now?

Definitely go back to GP and make sure it’s a referral to the nearest BSGE specialist centre. The NICE guidelines recommended this.

Hope you get this sorted soon.

If there is evidence of severe endo you do need referring to a centre but you do have to meet the referral criteria which vary between England and the devolved boards. It will depend on what they mean by having it everywhere as this might not be the same as it being severe. Will pm you.
