Does anyone else struggle to lose weight as a result of their endometriosis? I have been trying to lose weight with careful eating and exercise but am just not seeing any change- if anything my weight is going up!

Endo and weight gain?
Might be worth asking GP to check thyroid levels and making sure the weight isn’t to do with anything else. Medication can also sometimes cause weight gain.
Don’t forget if you are exercising muscle weighs more that fat.
Hey!
I’m like this & I have an under active thyroid. I try so hard to be careful in what I eat etc & it’s just so hard to loose weight x
I find it almost impossible to lose weight. I have 15 chronic conditions and they cause me to have severe nausea. I take $5 nausea pills every day that are meant for chemo patients and still have a hard time eating. I eat less than my 14 lb dog 😂 and I still don’t lose weight. I also eat very little junk and processed foods. But I still don’t lose weight or gain weight really. I have a under active thyroid auto immune condition which doesn’t help and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) that puts my body into fight or flight so I can’t digest and makes my GERD unbearable.
I would definitely get a bunch of blood work done to check things like cortisol (fight or flight hormone) and your thyroid.
Hi there, was on the same boat with you on this. As the other girls have reccomended get loads of blood test done. Check vit D levels, iron, thyroid and what not. After i had this blood test done i figured out that my vit d levels were rock bottom therefore my boddy was storing all the fat for energy and was not shifting. Started keeping a diary to see what I eat, even though I knew i loved my bread and pasta I was very suprised to see how much i relied on carbs for energy. Sadly there is not much nutrition in carbs to keep you full and satisfied so slowly increased my fish, egg ,veggies &meat intake and lowered my carbs. Anf of course gave up sugar & wheat which personaly has a huge impact on my endo flare up. For the 1st time i started seeing the weight drop off. I am not going to say was easy but is doable. Energy levels have gone up, which helps with exercising. Cravings have gone down which helps with mantaining the weight loss. Endo flare up has reduced massively which makes quality of life better. I understood for me weight loss is about managing what creates havoc with mu hormones a bit better but i think I am now at a stage where feel a bit more stable. Hope it helps a bit.
