Hi ladies
Does anyone have any advice on deep infiltrating endo on the uterosacral ligaments? I've had 3 surgeries over 20 years; in summary - ablation in 2002, ovaries removed in 2015 and then full hysterectomy in 2017. On top of my endo I also had adenomyosis. I was 44 in 2015 so went onto HRT then. Muscle ache, vaginal dryness and mood issues last year so my oestrogen only HRT was doubled to 2mg daily. Since 2017 I only had fairly mild twinges but in the last 6 months my pain levels have returned to almost as bad as they were before my ovary removal. After the hysterectomy I specifically asked my gynae doctor if he had cut out all the endo and he said yes, I'm not sure I believe him. Does anyone know if the uterosacral ligaments are retained after a hysterectomy or do they come out too? I'm convinced my HRT is making the endo worse. I'm reluctant to go back to my gynae doc as would prefer to be referred to a specialist centre (there is one now in the West of Scotland where I live). I'm now trying hard to implement the endo diet as far as possible (although I do tend to eat healthily during the week) but allow myself treats at the weekend including wine and chocolate. I try to exercise frequently too with Les Mills classes and running but when you feel like crap, it's really hard!
Any advice would be gratefully received and sending everyone good vibes for pain free days xx
