I underwent an inflamed fallopian tube removal and colon resection surgery (due to an endometriosis nodule located on the sigmoid, wrongly cauterized by the gynecologist), and 5 days have passed since the operation and I still did not have any normal stools. the only stools I had were black and liquid made during urination.
Any tips?
I only ate soups, fresh diet cottage cheese, vegetable soup, and cherry compote starting today.
has anyone suffered from sigmoid resection? after how long after the operation did you have the first stools?
I started removing gas on the first day after the operation and the black liquid stools started the next day.

1. Normal stool or black liquid stool? Because I had also some black liquid stool several times per day, just a little.
2. What means eating normally? Fresh vegetables (eg. Carrot) is allowed? Fresh juices (orange juice)? They told me to not eat fresh vegetables, everything fried, fibers, etc.
Could you give me some examples of food?
I ate just soups, fresh cheese, yogurt, without bread.
3. Did you feel the same pain before first stool? I had terrible pain. I think I got constipated because they gave me activated charcoal during my hospitalization.
When I did finally pass stools they were black to begin with which is normal as it’s just a build up of all the blood from surgery, but mine weren’t liquid.
Normally just as in not liquid diet, they didn’t specify for me to eat any differently so maybe they recommended that for you for a certain reason, after a few days they said I could just eat as I normally did solid foods so I want restricted to soups and juices anymore.
I was constipated as well but I think that was just because my body hadn’t had real food in a few days so there was nothing much to pass and your muscles will all be much weaker so it will be harder to get things moving.
